About Old Hundred

Old Hundred is a rock band from Columbus, Ohio that formed in the early spring of 2009. Since their inception they have developed an evocative and emotive sound with a wide range of sonic textures. The band focuses on strong melodies, careful orchestration, and lush vocal harmony. The members cite a number of influences including: Neil Young, R.E.M., Neutral Milk Hotel, Gillian Welch, and the Pixies. Their many influences and collaborative writing style have resulted in a synthesis of musical genres and a diverse catalog of songs.

Old Hundred has performed with artists including Cake, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Phosphorescent, Southeast Engine, Frontier Ruckus, Horse Feathers and many more. They were also voted best band of 2010 by Columbus Underground.

The band is currently finishing their second full-length album which is slated to be released in August of 2012.
